Shadeen got her start as a radio host and sex educator, and eventually decided to transition her love of education and service into an eclectic full-time career. Building on an early dream to join the XMen, Shadeen realized that her unique gift is the ability to transform even the most impossible circumstances into clear, actionable relationship wins...And making full plates of sushi disappear.
Shadeen received a Master of Science in Couple and Family Therapy, with a specialization in Sex Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. She completed her undergraduate education at McMaster University with a combined honours degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, and Behaviour, with a minor in Sociology. She has maintained her love of education as a graduate professor at Lincoln University (the first HBCU in North America), Thomas Jefferson University and the post-graduate program at Council for Relationships. She also writes nationally implemented sex ed curricula for nursery schools through young adulthood, covering topics ranging from family structures to consent.
Although a proud Canadian, Shadeen currently lives and works in Philadelphia.
